The non-occlusive DermaGuard barrier helps to prevent the penetration of the skin by irritants that can cause inflammation, discomfort, skin breakdown and allergic reactions.
DermaGuard protects against the harmful effects of chemicals and other substances on the skin. When used in conjunction with gloves, it affords the wearer additional skin protection.
DermaGuard helps prevent skin maceration and its associated problems. When a worker must wear gloves all day, the skin can become water-logged and more susceptible to bacteria and the discomfort of skin breakdown. With DermaGuard, the water is not allowed to penetrate the skin which reduces the possibility of complications. This application is appropriate for those wearing latex, leather and vinyl gloves. Areas where this is applicable includes assembly line workers, clean room technicians, food processing workers, etc.
DermaGuard is an effective barrier to most known allergens. If the worker is exposed to materials known to cause reactions on the skin, DermaGuard helps in the prevention and reduction of irritation to the skin. These allergens in the work place include latex, vinyl, and many fabrics and the associated detergents that are used. While that only names a few allergens, we have found that DermaGuard is an effective barrier against most problematic materials that can cause "atopic" type skin reactions.
DermaGuard is non-allergenic and is extremely safe to use on all areas of the skin.
DermaGuard is effective against both water and oil-based materials. The worker is no longer required to use separate products for one or the other. DermaGuard also includes a moisturiser. No more "pre" and "post" treatments. DermaGuard does it all in one simple and cosmetically appealing step.
DermaGuard effectively protects against damage and bacteria from sand, cement plaster, bitumen and other related products.
DermaGuard protects against greases, coolants, graphite, metal dust and other processes and materials.
DermaGuard actively repels unwanted odours. By not allowing unwanted odours to penetrate the skin, the washing and removal of odours is greatly facilitated. The user no longer has to scrub the skin with harsh abrasives on what could already be sensitive and raw skin.
DermaGuard is an effective barrier against bacteria. Not only does DermaGuard actively repel bacteria from the skin, it also will not host bacteria. This is important in areas where the worker may already have some type of skin problem and is more susceptible to bacteria penetrating the weakened skin. Because DermaGuard does not allow the bacteria to penetrate the skin, the washing and removal of bacteria is greatly facilitated. "Chicken Itch" and other bacteria based dermatoses are not allowed to penetrate the skin and cause discomfort and inflammation.
DermaGuard repels unwanted odours such as poultry, fish, all types of meat odours, ammonia and other waste materials, chemicals, feeds and soured grains. By not allowing these odours to penetrate the skin, the washing up and removal of these odours is greatly facilitated. The user no longer has to scrub the skin with harsh abrasives and cleaners and is therefore not inflicting these potentially damaging materials on what could already be sensitive and raw skin areas.
DermaGuard will not affect food products should the user come into direct contact with the final product. DermaGuard is non-bacterial and will not host any of the bacteria associated with the handling of raw food. The MSDS and clinical analysis of DermaGuard showing that it does not host bacteria, should you require that information, are available upon request.
DermaGuard protects workers in both the processing areas as well as the clean up areas, no fear of the wrong product in the wrong production areas.
